Boston Newsroom Staff – Updated May 27, 2026 11:23 AM EDT – One of Boston’s most iconic bakeries is about to get a lot more convenient for travelers.

Mike’s Pastry, the beloved North End institution known for its stuffed cannoli, handcrafted pastries, and lines that stretch down Hanover Street on any given weekend, is heading to Boston Logan International Airport. The bakery will open a new location in Terminal C later this year, giving departing and arriving passengers a taste of one of the city’s most storied neighborhoods before they even hit the highway.

MarketPlace Development, the New England Development affiliate that manages Logan’s concessions program, announced the partnership on Tuesday. The new location will be open seven days a week from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.

For anyone who has ever rushed through Logan wishing they had grabbed a cannoli on the way out of town, the news lands like a gift.

“Mike’s Pastry has always been about sharing a piece of Boston with everyone who walks through our doors,” said Angelo Papa, owner of Mike’s Pastry. “Bringing that experience to Boston Logan is special for us. Whether you’re heading out or just arriving, we’re excited to give travelers an easy way to grab a true taste of the North End.”

The Terminal C outpost will carry the bakery’s signature filled-to-order cannoli in multiple flavors, individual cheesecake slices, lobster tails, and a full espresso bar. The menu will also include ready-to-go items suited for travel, so yes, you can absolutely bring cannoli on the plane. The space itself will take design cues from the original shop, featuring the brand’s signature gold tones alongside newer blue and white elements, illuminated display cases, and solid surface countertops.

Massport CEO Rich Davey called the addition part of a broader effort to bring authentic Boston culture into the airport experience.

“This addition reflects our continued commitment to elevating the passenger experience by bringing local culture to the terminals through live entertainment, classic culinary favorites, and more,” Davey said.

Founded in 1946, Mike’s Pastry has grown from a single storefront in the North End into a multi-location operation with a following that draws locals, tourists, and just about everyone in between. The bakery’s cannoli, in particular, has become something of a Boston symbol, the kind of thing people box up and bring home to friends and family who haven’t made the trip yet.

Seth Merin, Air Ventures Vice President of Operations, said the team’s goal is to make sure the airport version feels just as authentic as the original.

“Our focus is delivering that authentic North End experience in a way that’s seamless and convenient for travelers,” Merin said.

Michael DiCosola, President of MarketPlace Development, framed it simply: “With Mike’s Pastry coming to Terminal C, we’re making the passenger experience even sweeter.”

An exact opening date has not been announced, but the location is expected to debut later in 2026. Terminal C at Logan serves several major carriers, meaning the cannoli will have a pretty wide reach.
